- Roedde House – admission to the historic museum in Vancouver’s West End during regular hours is usually by donation the last Friday of the month (but to be confirmed for 2023).
- Museum of Vancouver – admission is by donation on the first Sunday of the month.
Things to Do in Vancouver in October
- Participate with friends at an Oktoberfest event.
- Enjoy the autumn leaves in the Lower Mainland’s best Parks & Places in Nature, but especially at Stanley Park and VanDusen Garden.
- Go for a walk or bike ride along the seawall at False Creek or Coal Harbour.
- Take in all the many Halloween festivities around town.
- Head to Harrison Hot Springs for one or two nights for the hot springs and fall colours.
- Buy a new umbrella in preparation for the next six months or more of rain.
Vancouver Weather in October
The weather in the Lower Mainland in October is generally very nice. It’s getting cooler, and Vancouver’s rainy season is just around the corner. Some years there is a fair bit of rain in October. Other years it’s surprisingly dry. More often than not, it’s a great month to be in Vancouver.
